The Plans and Projects (PnP) Committee works to advance Oregon Walks’ mission “to promote walking and to make the conditions for walking safe, convenient and attractive for everyone.” PnP members provide input on pedestrian-related plans and projects throughout the region by representing Oregon Walks on advisory committees and by providing written comments and/or oral testimony. The committee is made up of volunteers from a variety of professional and education backgrounds, including transportation and land use planning, advocacy, mapping, and communications.
We encourage community members, municipal agencies, and planning professionals to submit a plan or project that is currently under development and that you are seeking input on.
Once we review submissions we will be using an equity lens as to which submissions to provide input on. We will review the plan and discuss if/how it enhances the pedestrian realm, increases safety, and works to address equity issues.
Please note that PnP's engagement on and input for a project does not necessarily indicate Oregon Walks' endorsement of that project.
