Description:

Learn more about the historic places and seldom-told stories of Portland’s Black history. Oregon Black Pioneers, Oregon’s only statewide African American historical society, will lead guests on a walking tour through downtown Portland with stops along the way at historically significant locations. Themes will include Black-owned businesses, community change, and civil rights.

Please check the weather, wear comfortable shoes, and bring enough water to stay hydrated. Folks may want a jacket, hat, or sunglasses.
