Want to help make the Central Eastside of Portland safer and more enjoyable for walking?

Join Depave, AARP Oregon, and Oregon Walks for a community ‘walk audit’ of the proposed Future Green Plaza safe street, pocket park, and adjacent crossings on SE Sandy Blvd and SE Stark Street.  

This event is part of and celebrates the 20-year anniversary of Park(ing) Day, an international holiday for reclaiming unused streetspace for community, commerce, and climate.

Participants and volunteers will be guided to conduct a 20-minute ‘walking audit’ anytime between 2 and 4 pm, followed by a social with light refreshments from 4-6 pm. Come early or late, help shape the design, and learn about the proposed pocket park, which is a partnership between Depave, PBOT, Portland Indigenous Marketplace and others.
