Walk this favorite route of former Oregon Walks Executive Director Jess Thompson. This walk is self-lead, so you can walk at your own convenience.
This beautiful walk is 2.6 miles. You will enjoy strolls through 2 award-winning parks in Portland, as well as gorgeous views of the Willamette River and Forest Park from the Willamette Bluff.
Directions: Starting at the Rose Garden at Peninsula Park, take a stroll through Peninsula Park in North Portland, turning west on Rosa Parks Way. At N. Delaware, take a right and continue North a few blocks where you can visit Arbor Lodge Park and enjoy Portland’s first all-inclusive playground—Harper’s Playground. Stroll through Arbor Lodge and then take N. Bryant Street to N. Willamette. From there turn South on Willamette for about .4 miles, where you will go East on N. Ainsworth and end up back at the Peninsula Park’s Rose Garden.
