WPC has spent most of the week doing crosswalk actions on SE Foster & Barbur. There are a lot of drivers who are not seeing people crossing out there, particularly at unmarked crossings!

The truck driver who struck and killed Abaynesh Awokie, apparently without even realizing it, will have his case dismissed. Apparently dark clothing is to blame. Again.
Looking for a way to beat the heat? How about a walking tour (and splash?) of Portland's fountains?
Should “Might make right” in regards to traffic interactions? If so, does having more might (say, a large truck) make you more right? Does being a small person without vehicle, like a child make you less right?
And finally, a big congratulations to our own Stephanie Routh, award recipient for the 2012 Portland Society Fund grant.
